I hope you all had a safe and wonderful three day weekend. We had a very relaxing weekend, Sammy, Ina, Aimee, and Audrey came over, Ina had Sam get dad some scratchers and David BBQ'd ribs and corn on the cob Ina grilled zucchini it was delicious. Sam spent the night and played cards with Grandpa before he left. The weather has been so nice and beautiful, breezy and cool that I really felt like I've been on vacation.
We thought we might have got to see the babies, but not yet. Dad has been hanging in there feeling pretty good and is doing a little bit better than last week. As long as we keep him busy with visiting, playing cards, scratchers, The Price is Right, JEOPARDY, and Wheel of Fortune he does pretty good and doesn't have time to think about mom but as soon as he has some time to think he gets sad.
I spoke with Aunt Ces today she was so happy to hear from me and glad to find out how Dad was doing, we talked for awhile. She says she looks at Mom's picture everyday and talks to her and that she knows it has to be hard on Dad. I told her I would pray for her leg cause she has been having a lot of pain in it and can't stand up for long periods of time, her heart doctor wants her to see another to see if it's a pinched nerve. She also said that Ned is on dialysis now and he is blind in one eye, and that Marilyn had surgery for cancer and is not doing well they might put her at the living center,I told her I would pray for them and that I would also to pray for her grandson Joel and his wife Laura who are having some trouble. She says Shelley is doing real good and she is very busy and that Annabelle's son Aaron is really doing good as an officer and that Flora's son Joseph is also (and officer and doing good). I told her about Daniel and she said that Shelley had heard but didn't know the details, she says to please send her pictures and that everyone misses Cory. All of the girls have been taking turns staying with her and watching over her so she is never alone and she said that makes her feel good. She was just so happy that I called and that David is doing so good to be sure and tell him she misses him. I told her that I would try and be better at calling her more often and keeping her updated.
