Welcome to my place

I started this blog when my mother passed into the Lord's arms on January 11th 2009 to keep my family updated on my father who joined my mother and Jesus in heaven on July 11th 2009. I now use it to post things I think are interesting to share as well as to share God's Word and Love and what a work He is doing in me.
I appreciate the visit, come by often.

oops! it was the 4th and now the 5th

Since I missed Sunday I was a day behind yesterday so now it is already the 5th of May...sheesh time is really flying.

Happy Cinco de Mayo to all of you, and if you do celebrate please be safe. Why it is celebrated;
    Cinco de Mayo is a date of great importance for the Mexican and Chicano communities. It marks the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Puebla.
In the United States, the "Batalla de Puebla" came to be known as simply "5 de Mayo" and unfortunately, many people wrongly equate it with Mexican Independence which was on September 16, 1810, nearly a fifty year difference. Over, the years Cinco de Mayo has become very commercialized and many people see this holiday as a time for fun and dance.

So there is your history lesson for the day.  =]

I took Dad to see Dr Gonzales to get a medical release and an EKG for his cataract surgery yesterday, he says he looks good and that there should be no problem for him to have the eye surgery as long as he stays stable.

So far all is well and we take it one day at time.......

Make it a great day!!!!
