It was so hot over the weekend...."blecch!" Sam came over and took Grandpa out to lunch they went to "Coco's" and enjoyed their time together. He came home did a treatment and then laid down for a nap, he seemed to be fine the rest of the evening. On Sunday he said he was feeling okay but then later he started having some pain on his right side, starting sweating and his pulse was high. I gave him a second breathing treatment, nitro, and morphine, he said he still wasn't feeling well so I called the Nurse and she said to give him another dose of morphine because the normal dose is very minimal. So I gave him another dose, he laid down for a bit with a cold cloth on his head while we waited for the nurse to show up. After about 10 minutes he started feeling better and wanted to sit up, just in time for the nurse to check him out. He B/P was fine his pulse was back to normal. He was fine the rest of the day but just didn't look good to me, so I kept a close eye on him all night he did get up quite a bit (sorry Sam)and I had to give him a few treatments as well as another dose of morphine, it was a busy night but we got through it.
The regular nurse came by and said that the heat could have caused added stress to his breathing and that I did everything right, and just to always call whenever we need them. She asked Dad how he was feeling and he said he was feeling good now, he still doesn't look good but he has no complaints, he was falling asleep so I made him lay down. If anything changes I will keep you posted!
Blessings,
McLean"s
