Last night I was giving Dad his breathing treatments every 4 hours while he was sleeping, granted that I was waking him up from sleep he was very very confused along with having great difficulty getting to the bedside commode. When it was his normal time to get up I told him that Theresa was bringing him communion and he said "we have to leave this place?" while trying to get in his wheelchair he almost fell over and said "I tripped" I had to grab him around his waist to help him get into the chair and when we got to the living room he wasn't looking real awake or with it. I helped him get into his chair and again he stumbled so I told him to hold onto me and we got him in his chair, I asked him if he just wanted to stay in bed and Theresa can come *downstairs* and he said no he'll wait.Theresa gave him his communion and prayed with him and then when she left I helped him get back into the wheelchair and he almost fell again he told Kay my legs are weak. I told him I could call the nurse and she could put a catheter in so he wouldn't have to keep getting up and down and he said" if you think it will work" ( he also has a blister on his elbow from him trying to push himself up) so the nurse came and put his catheter in I put a bandage on his elbow and he said that he feels better, he's resting right now.
