Welcome to my place

I started this blog when my mother passed into the Lord's arms on January 11th 2009 to keep my family updated on my father who joined my mother and Jesus in heaven on July 11th 2009. I now use it to post things I think are interesting to share as well as to share God's Word and Love and what a work He is doing in me.
I appreciate the visit, come by often.

Well it has been awhile since I have posted about the study I'm doing in Daniel with all of you. Thanks to Hisgirl and her dedication to the study and the many wonderful ladies that are on the journey with me is why I have come back to blog today. Everyone has been through their trials as we have witnessed on Face Book and others blogs, so I felt I would share the journey that I have been on and how it pertains to Daniel.
Two weeks or so ago I moved in with my niece who was in a very bad relationship and needed desperately to get out of it, along with that she had to get sober. I don't think she even knew she needed to get out or get sober until she was confronted with a do it or else ultimatum. God had me here for a reason and as always has perfect timing, He told me to share my past with her and how God redeemed me and that He has always been there watching over us but it was the choices we were making that led us to be in bad relationships. He let me share with her how much Jesus loves us and that He died on the cross for all of our sin, yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and though we may fall we will never fall out of His hands. He knew we would be right here at this moment and that He was using me to let her know He loves her more than anything and that He doesn't want her in bad relationships He wants a relationship with her. We talked about how we are all born with a God shape whole in us and that Jesus knocks at the door and waits for us to invite Him in. She said I thought he was always there, and I told her that He is always with us but He is a Gentlemen and it is up to us to invite Him into our hearts to be Lord and Savior and when we do so the Holy Spirit comes in and cleans out all the worldly things that we have given into because of our flesh and replaces them with His fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.
We talked about how she has to admit that she is a sinner and ask for forgiveness and for her to turn from her sin. I explained how she could do it and then we prayed, I gave her my bible for her to use. I told her today she is a new creation in Christ that yesterday is gone tomorrow is not here yet and we need to live in the present we can only handle one day at a time, although it has been a tough road we have been travelling on it with Jesus, she has been sober for two weeks and is reading the bible everyday she has told me that when she gives her thoughts and worries to Jesus that she feels so much better. She also thanked me for bringing Jesus to her home, isn't that the most awesome thing for someone to say..... All Glory and Honor to Jesus!
So now back to how this applies to the study, had I not be in the Word daily and letting God teach me about humility, pride, submission, I really don't think I would have been used by Him, He was equipping and preparing me through Daniel and 1Peter. I was an empty vessel and now I am filled with him and will continue to stay in His Word because without Him I am nothing. We both don't know what tomorrow may bring but we are living today without worry or strife and it is exciting knowing that our Father in heaven is in control.
